What We Do

The Partnership with the Community, Schools, Health Care and Worksites is a part of the health education division at the Erie County Department of Health (ECDH).  This program is funded through a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Health.  The purpose of these programs is to provided information that are culturally appropriate, increase children’s physical activity, educate the management at worksites the benefits of health, and bring the community to surrounding parks and trails.  Particular emphasis shall be on population-based activities to promote and enhance physical active lifestyles and healthy eating behaviors in the following age range categories:

  1. Build Your Health (infancy to age 30)
  2. Maintain Your Health (ages 31-50)
  3. Protect Your Health (age 51 and older)
