General Health Education Topic List

What We Do

This program is to educate all people on the importance of personal hygiene, cleanliness and to prevent disease by healthy eating and being active.  Programs that are provided to the public are handwashing, personal hygiene education, worksite wellness programs and health topic presentations.  The Public Health Education Department also does research on various topics, program administration, and provides resources for agencies and schools.

Funding Source

Funds are provided for these various programs from the County and State Funds.

Education programs are done at many community sites:

  • Schools pre-K-12
  • Worksite Wellness programs
  • Media announcements
  • Churches
  • Civic events such as health fairs and expos
  • Daycares
